Event Statistics
The tournament featured an impressive turnout:
557 players from 31 Asian countries participated.
Overall Champion: China
2nd Place: Kazakhstan
3rd Place: India
While China, the home of the reigning world champion, claimed the overall championship title, followed by Kazakhstan and India (birthplace of current world championship challenger Gukesh), the Philippines' performance was a testament to the dedication and skill of our players. Their participation was made possible through the generous support from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), under Chairman Hon. Richard E. Bachmann; the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), led by President/Chairman Hon. Prospero A. Pichay Jr. and its board of directors; and also from different Local Government Units (LGUs) who supported their respective representatives.
Beyond the medals, this campaign provided invaluable experience and boosted the FIDE ratings of our players, significantly enhancing their international standing.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the PSC and LGUs for their crucial funding and support. We also thank the parents for their unwavering commitment to their children's chess journeys, and the coaches for their tireless dedication and expert guidance.
